Siarhei Nikitsiuk is 33 years old. He studied at the Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University in Ukraine. Lives in the village of Zhabinka, Brest region. He has a one year old child.
Nikitsiuk posted a one-word negative comment about Lukashenka and forwarded a picture of his ballot during the 2022 referendum to a Telegram channel recognized as an extremist organization.
On November 21, 2022, the Brest Regional Court convicted Nikitsiuk under Part 1 of Art. 368 (insulting Lukashenka) and Part 1 of Art. 361-4 ('Promotion of extremist activities'). The judge Dzmitryi Kurouski sentenced Nikitsiuk to three years of imprisonment in a penal colony. The state prosecution was represented by the public prosecutor Aliaksandr Batsiushka.
