Siarhei Nepahoda was sentenced by the Maladziečna District Court to three years in prison under Part 2 of Article 363 of the Criminal Code for resisting violence against a participant of a peaceful assembly held in Maladziečna in June 2020. Earlier, in September, Pavel Piaskou and Uladzislau Yeustsiahneyeu were convicted in the same case and recognized as political prisoners.
Siarhei was recognized as a suspect in criminal case, but fled abroad and did not participate in the trial. He was detained on March 17 in St. Petersburg, placed in a Russian pre-trial detention center for six months, and when his detention term expired, he was deported to Belarus for violating the migration regime. Upon arrival in Belarus, he was detained.
