Siarhei Chareshka is an Instagram blogger and presenter. He was arrested on November 8, 2022, together with his wife, Katsiaryna Chareshka, who was later released home on recognizance. They have two minor children.
It is known that Siarhei Chareshka was later placed in remand prison #1 in Minsk under Article 342 of the Criminal Code ('Active participation in group actions grossly disrupting public order').
The case of the political prisoner was heard in the Maskoŭski District Court of Minsk. According to the human rights defenders, on March 10, 2023, Judge Siarhei Katser sentenced Siarhei Chareshka to freedom restriction under home confinement.
On March 31, 2023, the Ministry of Internal Affairs included him in the "List of extremists".
