Siarhei Burak was sentenced on June 7, 2021 to two years of restricted freedom in an open penitentiary (“khimiya”) by the Masty District Court under Art. 368 of the Criminal Code for insulting the president and under Art. 370 of the Criminal Code for insulting state symbols.

He was accused of multiple reposting and posting offensive information regarding Lukashenka in a Telegram channel called "Masty for Living. Chat", as well as posting a message with the image of the Nazi swastika, which consisted of elements of the state flag of the Republic of Belarus.
