Siamion Akula is the owner of a computer repair service center. He was accused of participating in a protest action in November 2020 and of allegedly paying untaxed salary bonuses to his subordinates. These actions were qualified according to Part 2 of Article 216 (Causing property damage without signs of theft) and Part 1 of Article 342 of the Criminal Code (Organization and preparation of actions grossly disrupting public order).
It is known that Siamion Akula was arrested on September 9, 2021, in the computer repair office on Bahdanoviča Street in Minsk. The law enforcers seized all the computer equipment. According to the preliminary information, Siamion Akula could have been in custody for a year and a half and turned 43 on February 16, 2023, during the trial.
The trial began in early February 2023 and included ten sessions. On February 23, 2023, in the Kastryčnicki District Court of Minsk, Judge Alena Zhyvitsa, sentenced Siamion Akula to two years and six months of imprisonment in a general-security penal colony, as requested by the state prosecution.
