Raman Artsiomenka is a taxi driver. He has two minor children.
In late January 2023, the riot police (OMON) brutally detained Artsiomenka when he was waiting for a client near the city bus station. His friends expected him to be released after several days of administrative arrest as they knew that he was detained for his old likes on the Odnoklassniki Russian social network. But later it turned out that Raman Artsiomenka had been arrested under Article 367 of the Criminal Code (Defamation against the President of Belarus).
