Piotr Kanstantsinau is a resident of Žlobin who was arrested in early June under a criminal case on group actions that grossly violate public order (Article 342 of the Criminal Code).
The criminal case concerns the events of 9-10 August when protests against the rigged elections were held in Žlobin.
On August 6, Kanstantsinau was sentenced by the Žlobin District Court to 24 months in a general-security penal colony on charges of “organizing or active participation in group actions that gravely breach public order” (Part 1 of Article 342 of the Criminal Code).
