Pavel Petruchenia is from Brest. He was detained on December 13, 2022 and charged under Part 6 of Art.16 and Part 3 of Art. 130 ('Complicity in incitement to hatred') of the Criminal Code of Belarus. He is accused of transferring personal data to the Black Book of Belarus Telegram channel.
Pro-government channels posted a 'repentant' video, on which Pavel says that he worked in the Security Department until 2018 and was detained for transferring the Department employees' personal information to the Black Book of Belarus. According to his words on the video, he took the data from the telephone directory.
