Before his arrest, Pavel Lipnevich worked as a mechanic at Zavet JSC, a company that installs electrical networks. 

In early February 2022, Pavel was tried in a criminal case for insulting a government official (Article 369 of the Criminal Code). The sentence did not result in imprisonment. In September 2023, Pavel was detained for the second time due to comments made on Telegram. Although he had deleted his account in 2022, he was still identified and found to have made over 600 comments in various chat rooms.

As a result, Pavel was charged under Article 368 of the Criminal Code (insulting Lukashenka), Article 367 (slandering Lukashenka), and Article 369 (insulting a government official). On March 19, 2024, Judge Mikhail Makarevich announced the verdict.
