Pavel Kuchynski was arrested in early September 2022.
He was charged under several articles of the Criminal Code:
Part 1 of Article 356 — High treason;
Part 2 of Article 295-3 — Illegal actions in relation to objects which action is based on use of combustible substances;
Part 4 of Article 295 — Unlawful acts against firearms, ammunition and explosives;
Part 2 of Article 290-4 — Establishing or participating in an organization for the purpose of terrorist activity;;
Part 3 of Article 289 — An act of terrorism;
Part 1 of Article 309 — Intentional disrepair of a vehicle or communication lines.
On October 4 the trial took place in the Minsk Region Court. Aliaksandr Rybakou was appointed as a judge in the case. He was the one who conducted the first trial in the "Tsikhanouski case" in 2021.
On December 15, 2023, Kuchynski was sentenced to nineteen years of imprisonment in a medium-security penal colony.
