Pavel Hulidau is a resident of Mahilioŭ convicted under Article 368 of the Criminal Code (contempt of the president) and Article 409 of the Criminal Code (illegal actions against property subject to seizure or arrest).
According to the accusation, Pavel Hulidau, who worked in Russia, came home on vacation. Being drunk he called to the police hotline, where he talked agressively about Lukashenka and the duty officer, who received the call. During the investigation, after he got his phone back from the inspection, Hulidau sold it and thus got rid of the material evidence. This was the reason for the initiation of a case under Article 409 of the Criminal Code.
At first he was also charged under Article 369 of the Criminal Code (contempt of an official), but following the entry into force of amendments to the criminal law, the charges were withdrawn.
The Lieninski District Court of Mahilioŭ sentenced him to one year of imprisonment.
According to the information available to human rights defenders, Pavel should have been released in July 2022.
