In the ‘repentant video’ she confesses to having blocked traffic during the August 2020 protests, having subscribed to ‘extremist’ Telegram channels, and having registered with the Peramog plan.
On 31 August 2022, Judge Yury Mashketau of the Maskoŭski District Court of Minsk sentenced Hancharenka to three years of restricted freedom in an open-type correctional facility. She was released awaiting the commencement of the sentence.
It is known that during the trial Minsktrans sued Hancharenka for 98,000 Belarusian rubles (39,000 US dollars)—it was put in separate civil proceedings.
