Mikita Sasnou is a defendant in a criminal case under Art. 342 of the Criminal Code (Organization or active participation in group actions grossly violating public order). He was detained on September 2, 2021.

On January 17, 2022, Judge of the Saviecki District Court of Minsk Alena Zhukovich found Mikita Sasnou together with two other defendants Aliaksei Kandratsenka and Yahor Zh. guilty and sentenced them to two years in an open penitentiary ("khimiya"). All were identified by a photograph made on August 9, 2020. All three spent several months in pre-trial detention center No. 1, and after the verdict was pronounced, they were released pending appeal in the courtroom.
