Mikita Drozd, the husband of the political prisoner Hanna Liviant, was indicted under Article 342 of the Criminal Code ('Organization and preparation of actions grossly breaching public order').
On May 19, 2023, the trial of the famous teacher Yauhen Liviant began in the Maskoŭski District Court of Minsk. In the criminal case, along with Yauhen Liviant, there were six more defendants, including his wife, his daughter, his son-in-law Mikita Drozd, and his colleague.
On May 25, 2023, Judge Katsiaryna Murashka sentenced Mikita Drozd to three years of freedom restriction under home confinement.
The political prisoner was released from custody in the courtroom and released from remand prison #1 (in Minsk).
