Mikhail Berasniou was sentenced on April 23, 2021 by the Maskoŭski District Court of Minsk to 2 years of restricted freedom in an open penal facility (“khimiya”) under Art. 339 of the Criminal Code.

He was accused of painting political slogans on tobacco shops, an apartment building and a fountain, which the investigation qualified as malicious hooliganism committed by a group of persons.

On July 17, 2021, he was sent to serve his sentence.

At the beginning of January 2022, he was released on pardon.
