Mikalai Isayenka is a resident of Žlobin detained on June 2, 2021 as part of a criminal case of "group actions grossly violating public order."
The man was charged under Article 342 of the Criminal Code (organization or active participation in such actions). He was detained on August 10, 2020 and severely beaten during arrest. Isayenka was then hospitalized with a brain injury and spent two weeks in hospital. He was then summoned twice for questioning in criminal cases of insulting the state flag and riots.
On August 6, 2021, Isayenka was sentenced by the Žlobin District Court to 18 months in a general-security penal colony on charges of “organizing or active participation in group actions that gravely breach public order” (Part 1 of Article 342 of the Criminal Code).
Isayenka finished serving his term and was released on September 23, 2022.
