Mikalai Fedarenka is a defendant in the Brest "dancing protest" trial opened after the events of September 13, 2020, when the protesters danced at an intersection and were dispersed by a water cannon.

Fedarenka was charged under Art. 342 of the Criminal Code (active participation in group actions that grossly violate public order).

On February 25, 2021, the Lieninski District Court of Brest sentenced Mikalai Fedarenka to 1 1/2 years in an open correctional facility ("khimiya").

The political prisoner served his sentence in full and was released on December 5, 2022.
