Maksim Seliazniou was convicted under two articles of the Criminal Code: Part 2 and Part 4 of Article 295 ('Illegal actions with firearms, ammunition, and explosives'), and Part 1 and Part 2 of Article 289 ('Act of terrorism').
On March 30, 2023, in the court of the Centraĺny District of Minsk, Judge Dzmitryi Karsiuk sentenced him to 15 years imprisonment in a medium-security penal colony and 200 base fines (7,400 Belarusian rubles; approx. $2,500) to the benefit of the state.
Besides, in this case, Dzmitryi Martsinkevich was tried for 'a failure to report a crime'. He was found guilty of 'failing to report on a certain known person who has committed a particularly serious crime, and on the whereabouts of such a person' under Part 1 of Article 406 of the Criminal Code and sentenced to three months of arrest.
