Maksim Razhkou was detained in Homieĺ for publishing comments on the Internet in connection with the deaths of IT worker Andrei Zeltser and KGB agent Dzmitry Fedasiuk.
On September 21, 2022, the Homieĺ Regional Court commenced the hearings of the case. On September 28, Razhkou was found guilty of ‘organization and preparation of actions that grossly violate public order, or active participation in them’ and ‘incitement to hatred’ under Part 1 of Article 342 and Part 1 of Article 130 of the Criminal Code. He was sentenced to 3.5 years of imprisonment in a general-security penal colony.
