Maksim Tsishkevich was sentenced to two years in a general-security penal colony in a criminal case of "group actions that grossly violate public order" (Article 342 of the Criminal Code).

According to the indictment, on the night of August 9, 2020, Maksim Tsishkevich joined other protesters in central Minsk, where he wakled on the road, shouted slogans, clapped his hands loudly and waved his arms, as well as showed offensive signs to police officers.
