Larysa Kuzmenka, a resident of Homieĺ, was arrested in August 2021.

She was charged with violence or threats of violence against police officers during a protest in Homieĺ last year, when security forces used tear gas and stun grenades against protesters. 

Larysa Kuzmenka was sentenced to two years of imprisonment in a general regime prison under Article 364 of the Criminal Code.

Larysa is diagnosed with a depressive disorder and a claustrophobic syndrome.

Today, the Centraĺny District Court of Homieĺ announced the verdict in a criminal case against the 49-year-old Larysa Kuzmenka suffering from claustrophobia, who has been held in a pre-trial detention center for almost four months.
