Krystsina Charankova was detained on March 22, 2022 in a criminal case under Article 130 of the Criminal Code (Incitement of social enmity) for her posts on Instagram.
On 10 November 2022, Homieĺ Regional Court started considering the criminal case. According to the results of the expert review, her posts contain no calls to violent actions, but they contain a negative assessment of the police officers. On 16 November 2022, Judge Aliaksei Hlyshchankou found the girl guilty and sentenced her to two and a half years of imprisonment.
On April 11, 2024, she was released from prison.
