Kiryl Saleyeu is a sound engineer at the Young Spectator Theater. He is the son of a famous culturologist, professor of the Academy of Arts Vadzim Saleyeu.
Saleyeu was detained on September 14, 2021.
He was charged under Art. 342 of the Criminal Code (actions that grossly violate public order).
On January 6, 2022, Frunzienski District Court of Minsk started consideration of the criminal case against Kiryl. Judge Natallia Buhuk heard the case, the state prosecution was supported by Dzmitryi Khavauka. On January 11, the verdict was pronounced. Kiryl was sentenced to three years of restriction of liberty in an open correctional facility.
Kiryl Saleyeu was released pending his appeal.
On February 21, 2022, it became known that Kiryl has left Belarus.
