Cases: Protests in Minsk

Kiryl Akhremchyk was accused of participating in the 2020 protests in Minsk. He allegedly blocked the movement of public transport by standing on the roadway and was also seen in the front rows of protesters on Bogdanovich Street. Photos of this incident were found on a Telegram channel.

On October 10, 2023, Kiryl was convicted in the Zavodski District Court of Minsk under Part 1 of Article 342 of the Criminal Code (Organization and preparation of actions that grossly violate public order, or active participation in them). Judge Alena Kaptsevich sentenced him to two years and six months of restricted freedom under home confinement ("domashnyaya khimiya").

Following the announcement of the verdict, he was released from custody in the courtroom.

      On November 3, 2023, he was added to the list of individuals involved in extremist activities, which includes Belarusian citizens, foreign citizens, and stateless persons.
