Katsiaryna Hlinskaya works for IT-company EPAM. She was detained together with her sister Yuliya Hlinskaya on July 22, 2022, in Minsk.

The pro-government Telegram channels report that she was an active participant in the 2020 protests and moved to Lithuania at the end of that year. Two years later, she decided to come to Belarus to visit a friend and was detained.

The law enforcers published a video of Katsiaryna ‘confessing’ to participating in the protests and blocking traffic.

On October 14, 2022, Judge Natallia Dziadkova of the Partyzanski District Court of Minsk found the political prisoner guilty and sentenced her to 24 months of imprisonment in a general-security penal colony.
