Yury Khrystaliubau is a former student of the State University of Ukraine. He was detained in October 2022. First, he was arrested for 15 days, and then charged of participating in the post-election protests (Article 342 of the Criminal Code) and placed in remand prison #1 in Minsk.

On February 7, 2023, in the Centraĺny District Court of Minsk, Judge Yulyana Shcherba sentenced Khrystaliubau to two years and six months of restricted freedom under home confinement.
