Yury Dzhenzhera lives in Fanipaĺ, Minsk region. He was arrested in August 2022 in a criminal case for ‘group actions that grossly violated the public order’ under Article 342 of the Criminal Code. Dzhenzhera was accused of blocking traffic in Fanipaĺ in 2020 by walking down the road during a protest.

Dzhenzhera has played mini-football professionally for more than 20 years. He participated in local, regional and national competitions and was the captain of a local football team for eight years. Besides, he was engaged in passenger transportation in Fanipaĺ. He has two children.

On February 9, 2023, in the Dziaržynsk District Сourt found Yuryi Dzhenzhera guilty under Part 1 of Art. 342 of the Criminal Code. Judge Tatsiana Fiadchuk sentenced him to two and a half years of restriction of freedom without a referral to an open-type penal facility (under home confinement). He was released from custody in the courtroom.
