Yuliya Chamlai was detained in Krupki for publishing comments on the Internet in connection with the deaths of IT worker Andrei Zeltser and KGB agent Dzmitry Fedasiuk.

On July 11, 2022, the Minsk Regional Court started the hearing of the case under Article 369 of the Criminal Code (insulting a government official) and Article 130 of the Criminal Code (inciting social hatred). On July 18, Judge Anatol Dabradzei passed a verdict: to find Yuliya guilty and sentence her to two years of imprisonment in a general-security penal colony.
