Yauhen Shyshkou was detained in July 2023. He was accused of "insulting Aliaksandr Lukashenka" (Part 1 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code). On August 24, 2023, in Kastrychnitski District Court of Mahiliou Judge Volha Zarychniuk sentenced Yauhen to two years of imprisonment in a general-security penal colony.
