Yauhen Kahotska

Yauhen Kahotska was convicted of ripping up and burning the state flag of Belarus. The process was recorded on video, which was later posted online.

In August 2021, the court sentenced Kahotska to six months of home confinement.

However, after the prosecutor's office appealed the verdict, Yauhen's sentence was replaced by 1 year of restricted freedom in an open penitentiary ("khimiya").

On November 19, 2022, Kahotska served his sentence in full and was released.
