Yauhen Dzmitryeu

Yauhen Dzmitryeu was detained on October 4 after the March for the Release of Political Prisoners near his apartment in Minsk. He was initially sentenced to a short prison term on "illegal protesting" charges, but later charged under Art. 342 of the Criminal Code (organization and preparation of actions that grossly violate public order, or active participation in them) and Art. 364 (violence or threat of violence against a law enforcement officer), but the latter charge was eventually dropped.

On February 26, 2021, Judge Yuliya Hustyr of the Centraĺny District Court of Minsk sentenced Yauhen Dzmitryeu to two years in a penal colony on charges of “violating public order” (Part 1 of Art. 342 of the Criminal Code).

Yauhen served his sentence in full and was released.
