Yahor Zhukau was convicted on August 23, 2023 by Moscow District Court of Brest. He was charged under Art. 370 of the Criminal Code – “Desecration of state symbols”.
On July 3, 2023, Yahor was detained and placed in pre-trial detention center for tearing down the flag from Euroopt store on the night of July 2-3.
Yahor was sentenced to three months of imprisonment.
Yahor served out his sentence and was released from prison in October 2023.
