Yahor Kuzmin was arrested on September 6, 2021 on charges of "group actions grossly violating public order" (Article 342 of the Criminal Code).

On November 17, 2021, Kuzmin was sentenced by the Zavodzki District Court of Minsk to three years in an open penitentiary ("khimiya").

The convict was released in the courtroom to wait for an appeal hearing.
