Ivan Dubinka was arrested in Minsk for posting comments concerning the deaths of the IT worker Andrei Zeltser and the KGB agent Dzmitry Fedasiuk. Dubinka was placed in remand prison #1.

It is known that he was charged under Part 1 of Article 130 ('Incitement of social hatred and enmity') and Article 369 ('Contempt of a public official') of the Criminal Code.

The case of the political prisoner was considered in the Minsk City Court. On November 28, 2022, Judge Alena Shylko found Ivan Dubinka guilty and sentenced him to 24 months of imprisonment in a general-security penal colony and 100 basic fines (approx. $ 1,270).

The political prisoner served his sentence in full and was released on January 27, 2023.
