Ihar Pazniakou, a resident of Hrodna, was detained on September 30, 2021, together with his wife Alena Yahorychava in the frames of a criminal case under Art. 342 of the Criminal Code.

On February 3, 2022, Judge Vitaliy Labotskiy found Ihar guilty and sentenced him to two and a half years of restricted freedom in an open-type penitentiary. The political prisoner was released from custody before being sent to the penitentiary.
