Ihar Yarmolau is a volunteer of Viktar Babaryka's presidential campaign. According to his parents, he was beaten during arrest. Yarmolau was hospitalized and underwent surgery.
On August 18, 2020, he was transferred to the KGB pre-trial prison, where he faced charges under Article 293 of the Criminal Code.
On June 10, 2021, Judge Sviatlana Bandarenka of the Maskoŭski District Court of Minsk sentenced Yarmolau to five years in a medium-security penal colony.
