Ihar Buzuk is an entrepreneur based in Hrodna. He was sentenced to two years of imprisonment in a general-security penal colony under Article 370 of the Criminal Code of Belarus ('Desecration of the state symbols'). Buzuk was convicted of hanging a white-red-white flag on the Mound of Glory WWII memorial complex.

He was arrested in July 2021 while trying to leave Belarus.

On November 3, Ihar Buzuk married his girlfriend in Prison #1 in Hrodna.

In early December 2021, he was reported to have been transferred from Prison #1 in Hrodna to penal colony #15 in Mahilioŭ.

In late May 2023, the political prisoner was released, having served his full sentence.
