Hleb Ramanau is a defendant in the case of mass riots opened after the events of August 10, 2020 in Brest.
During the investigation, Ramanau left the country and was in Russia, while Belarus put him on the wanted list. Ramanau was detained on June 4, 2021 while trying to cross the Belarusian-Lithuanian border.
On June 8, he was transferred to a pre-trial detention center.
On November 8, the Lieninski District Court of Brest sentenced the political prisoner to 3 1/2 years in a medium-security penal colony on charges under Part 2 of Art. 293 of the Criminal Code.
