Henadz Vasiliuk is a long-time train driver from Brest. First, in September 2023, he was arrested and convicted under administrative article 19.11 (Distribution of extremist materials), after which he was dismissed "by agreement of the parties". And on December 7, 2023, the man was detained in a criminal case for slandering Lukashenka (Article 367 of the Criminal Code).
On February 26, 2024, he was sentenced to imprisonment. A sentence of one year and six months was demanded by the prosecutor.
On September 16, 2024, Judge Andrei Hrushko considered the new criminal case against Hennadz. He was charged under Part 1 of Article 342 (violation of public order). According to the press release of the court, he was sentenced to one and a half years of penal colony, but taking into account the unspent previous sentence, he was finally sentenced to two years' imprisonment.
