Filip Kantsevich is a resident of Brest, a defendant in a criminal case under Part 2 of Art. 293 of the Criminal Code (participation in riots) opened after protests in the city in August 2020.

After a brief detention, Kantsevich was released on bail, but on March 11, 2021, he was summoned to an investigator and taken into custody. He was held in pre-trial detention center No. 7.

On November 8, the Lieninski District Court of Brest sentenced the political prisoner to 4 years in a medium-security penal colony on charges under Part 2 of Art. 293 of the Criminal Code.
