The incident occurred last November, reports Paleskaya Viasna.

In August 2021, the trial began under Article 369 of the Criminal Code. The policemen who beat Dmitry felt insulted by the fact that he shouted at them during the beating. The victims were two policemen, Askerka and Siarapin. They went to court with a statement about the insult and demanded compensation for moral damage in the amount of 500 Belarusian rubles each. The prosecutor Fitzner demanded for Liaukovich a punishment of one year and six months of restriction of freedom with sending to a penal colony. In the end, however, Judge Fedarovich sentenced him to two years' home confinement.

On March 15, 2022, Judge Anoshka considered another criminal case against Dzmitryi for insulting a government official (Article 369 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus) and sentenced him to one year and six months of imprisonment with a fine in the amount of 50 basic units (1,600 Belarusian rubles).
