Dzmitryi Lahun is 38 years old. He is from the village of Haradziečna in the Pružany district (Brest region).

On March 10, 2023, the Court of Kobryn and Kobryn District found Dzmitryi Lahun guilty under Article 370 of the Criminal Code ('Desecration of state symbols'). They sentenced him to 12 months of imprisonment in a general-security penal colony.

Judge Aliaksandr Babaskin announced the verdict.

It is known that on December 10, 2022, Dzmitryi Lahun, in a state of alcohol intoxication, tore off the state flag from the building of the local railway station and broke the flagpole. The video surveillance cameras recorded this, and Lahun was arrested.

Dzmitryi Lahun admitted his guilt.
