Dzmitry Kachurka is a defendant in the Brest trial of the "dancing protest" initiated after the events of September 13, 2020, when protesters danced on the road in central Brest and were dispersed by a water cannon.

He was charged under Art. 342 of the Criminal Code (active participation in group actions that grossly violate public order).

On March 15, 2021, the Lieninski District Court of Brest sentenced Kachurka to 18 months of restricted freedom in an open correctional facility ("khimiya").

On May 20, he started serving his sentence in penitentiary No. 39.
