Dzmitryi Bayarovich, a journalist, was arrested on March 14, 2023, together with his wife Valeryia Bayarovich. Criminal proceedings were started against them under Article 342 of the Criminal Code ('Active participation in group actions grossly disrupting public order').
In July 2023, it became known that the political prisoner was in remand prison #1 in Minsk.
His trial began on July 19, 2023. On July 20, 2023, in the Lieninski District Court of Minsk, Judge Yuliya Inchyna sentenced Dzmitryi Bayarovich to 3 years of freedom restriction under home confinement. He was released from custody in the courtroom.
