Dzianis Siarheyeu is a resident of Orša sentenced to 3 years of restricted freedom in an open correctional institution (“khimiya”) under Art. 369 of the Criminal Code.
Siarheyeu was found guilty of insulting a police officer in an online comment. The man was initially sentenced to home confinement, but later a higher court changed the sentence to "khimiya".
The convict was sent to serve his sentence in late September 2021.
