The Centraĺny District Court of Homieĺ sentenced Samkou to 12 months of imprisonment in a general-security penal colony.

Human rights defenders report that in early 2023, Dzianis Samkou was released.

It is known that on March 20, 2023, in the Vietka District Court (Homieĺ region), Judge Alena Nitsyeuskaya considered an administrative case against Dzianis Samkou under Part 2 of Art. 19.11 of the Code of Administrative Offenses ('Distribution of information products included in the list of extremist materials').
