On June 27, 2023, the Lieninski District Court of Hrodna convicted Dzianis Salahub under Part 1 of Article 368 ('Contempt of the president of Belarus'), Article 369 ('Contempt of a public official'), and Part 1 of Article 342 ('Organization and preparation of actions grossly disrupting public order or active participation in them') of the Criminal Code. Judge Natallia Kozel sentenced Salahub to 24 months of imprisonment in a general-security penal colony, along with 100 base fines (that is 3,700 Belarusian rubles or approx. $1,224) and 4,500 rubles (approx. $1,488) of compensation for moral damage to the victims.
