On November 2, 2021, Dzianis Lazouski was sentenced by the Maskoŭski District Court of Minsk to three years of restricted freedom in an open penitentiary ("khimiya") under Article 342 of the Criminal Code for participating in an election night protest in Minsk. After two and a half months of detention, Lazouski was released to wait for an appeal hearing.
