Statement on the status of a political prisoner
Dzianis Kireshchanka was detained on August 8 as part of the "rioting case". At first he was kept in a remand prison in Kareličy, then he was transferred to Hrodna. Kireshchanka was charged under Art. 293 of the Criminal Code.
On December 29, 2020, Kireshchanka was sentenced to 1 year and 6 months in a general-security penal colony.
Kireshchanka was released on October 30, 2021.
