Dzianis Karaban was arrested on January 6, 2022, in a criminal case under Art. 130 of the Criminal Code (Incitement to hatred) for his comment on the social network regarding the “Zeltser case”.
His trial began on February 9, 2022. On April 4, Brest Regional Court sentenced Dzianis to 2.5 years imprisonment in a general-security penal colony.
